Located on a tree-lined street not far from the park, Operà is one of the youngest pastry shops in town but already a reference point thanks to the quality and variety of its products.

Devoto Design took care of the restyling, from design to delivery.

The concept design takes cues from the elegance and flair of the typical French patisseries (that the name Operà itself evocates and to which is inspired) and roots them in the place it was born (Latina, the city of Rationalism) through the chosen shapes and materials.

The outcome is a place with simple and neat geometries enriched by decorative and rhythmical elements. Thanks to the wideness of its space and its strategic corner location, we were able to join the indoor with the outdoor: we designed some concertina French windows that can be fully opened and let the clients perceive only one space. We also designed the periphery benches and shelves so that the continuity between indoor and outdoor is even more perceivable.

The shop is strongly characterized by a black ribbon that runs through the place, giving it consistency and creating a strong visual impact. Clients are welcomed by a big curved counter with a matt black stripped Valchromat MDF front and a white Corian top. Brass-finished shelves and light elements together with natural oak wood tables and walls give the shop warmth and light. The benches have a minimal style, being in oak wood and grey upholstery to match the black ribbon created by the counter and ceiling.
