The new Deloitte headquarters in Rome furnished by Devoto

For Deloitte Italy Devoto Design delivered the bespoke interiors designed by DEGW (Lombardini 22), marking our first cooperation with this Italian architectural firm.

WITH THIS PROJECT IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT: as soon as we were asked to bid and we had the chance to look at the project we thought “we can’t miss it!”, so we worked hard to win the tender. (Luca Iori, Sales Manager at Devoto Design)

The new Deloitte headquarters can be found in via Veneto in Rome – the same street celebrated in the movie “La dolce vita” – and is located in a building designed by Carlo Broggi in 1927.  The new headquarters were officially opened on January 16th and many important authorities were part of the ceremony. The refurbishing project was pretty complex from a size point of view: 8 floors where Devoto Design supplied all the bespoke interiors:

  • PLANTERS,
  • BENCHES,
  • CLADDINGS,
  • BAR COUNTERS,
  • KITCHENETTES with appliances

DELOITTE, A “SUSTAINABLE” BUILDING

The project is strongly marked by sustainability, green and the wellness of those who work in the building. The new Deloitte Rome headquarters are among the few ancient buildings that can boast a triple certification: LEED, BREEAM and WELL.

These three certifications can grant the highest standards of health and wellness in a workplace, as well as environmental sustainability and energy efficiency.

WITNESSING AND ALSO BEING PART OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SPACES was challenging and exciting at the same time. Every floor is different from the other, and all of them collect and combine the two Green and Wellness souls. Working surrounded by greenery was particularly motivating and helped us work hard and successfully achieve the result! (Benedetta Guadagnin, Site manager)

CO-WORKING AND CO-LIVING SPACES SURROUNDED BY GREEN

As you enter the new headquarters you are welcomed by a lobby rich in vegetation, with a high ceiling and large glass walls that separate the different spaces on the ground floor and make the lobby look like an internal court that all the ground floor rooms and the mezzanine overlook.

Generally speaking the project by DEGW (a brand by Lombardini 22) is marked by large co-working and co-living areas where different elements of separation (such as fixtures and glass walls) define the varied one-to-one work stations and meeting rooms. We can also find relaxation areas, bars and kitchenettes.

THE KEY TO SUCCESS? Well, definitely the atmosphere of total and full trust among the client Deloitte, the designer DEWG/Lombardini 22 and the interior contractor Devoto Design. Always on the same page and willing to cooperate. Good relationships are the real key to success! (Federica Zizzari, Project Manager)

BIG BUILDING, BIG NUMBERS

Logistics, Project management and Site management made a difference: planning and preventing risks, being timely and proactive helped us complete this project of big numbers:

  • 8 floors
  • 17.000 sqm of total surface
  • 3.000 h of engineering
  • 8.000 h of production
  • 2.000 h of installation

TALKING ABOUT ENGINEERING, a big hand to our designers and joiners that managed to run the site surveys in what the Nasa itself has called “the hottest July since 1880″ (source: www.nasa.gov). A proof of willpower and stamina!” (Marianna Devoto, CCO at Devoto Design)

THE COOPERATION WITH DELOITTE GOES ON…

In 2018 Devoto Design had already delivered the Board Room of the Milan Deloitte headquarters: an out-of-scale board room table designed by architect Diego Collareda. And now, for the new Milan headquarters in Santa Sofia 28 – a complex of buildings that is going to welcome the new offices – Deloitte has chosen Devoto Design again for the realization of the bespoke interiors. Stay tuned!
