Devoto Design makes its debut in the USA with an exhibition in Florida

Devoto Design makes its debut in the USA to have a say in the international architectural and design market. We have just concluded our first event in the United States involving the community of architects and interior designers of South Florida. The event took place on the 3rd and 4th of April in partnership with AIA Miami in Miami, marking the beginning of a new era for our company.

A TWO-DAY JOURNEY through some iconic Devoto Design projects signed by international starchitects such as Zaha Hadid Architects, Ateliers Jean Nouvel, Richard Meier, Koichi Takada Architects, Fuksas and more, out-of-scale and peculiar projects that thanks to Devoto gave birth to architectural and design masterpieces.

DEVOTO DESIGN’S JOURNEY TO THE USA: THE EXHIBITION

AN ARCHITECTURAL JOURNEY where curves are the protagonist and give birth to some of the most emblematic masterpieces of our time.

The two-day exhibition revolved around the most significant projects Devoto Design has realized with international starchitects and famous designers such as Zaha Hadid Architects, Ateliers Jean Nouvel, Richard Meier, Koichi Takada Architects and Fuksas. This exhibition aimed at showing how we have been able to give life to some extraordinary ideas, turning them into architectural and design pieces that today are considered to be iconic benchmarks.

CURVES FROM CARPENTRY TO MASTERPIECES

CURVES: FROM CARPENTRY TO MASTERPIECES

The title of the event was “Curves: from Carpentry to Masterpieces“, and took place at the Design Center Of The Americas in Dania Beach, Florida (1855 Griffin Road, A-124), inside the prestigious PLANAR showroom. The big LCD walls that can be found in the venue showed pictures and videos of our company and our works; the focus of the exhibition were curves and complex shapes, so we took the chance to talk about our experience, our techniques, our methodology but also some behind-the-scene episodes. Specifically we talked about:

  • the Archive room desk inside the MAXXI MUSEUM by Zaha Hadid Architects
  • the auditorium inside the “La Nuvola” convention center by Fuksas
  • the curving bench inside the Musée du Quai Branly by Ateliers Jean Nouvel
  • the National Museum of Qatar gift shops by Koichi Takada Architects

These stories were told by us, the real protagonists. Through the voices of who was there, we have been able to create a storytelling that was both technical and emotional, we have been able to show the connection between being able to do and being able to think, the two souls that turned a small carpentry workshop into a big company that can create design masterpieces on an international level. Choosing DCOTA and PLANAR proved essential to have the perfect location and the perfect way to display on a big scale and in a dynamic way our works and our company.

ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN: DEVOTO DESIGN IN THE UNITED STATES

This event was not just a chance to show our innovation contribution to the world of architecture and design, but also marked the beginning of an important business relationship in the AEC sector of the USA market. Curated by architect Massimiliano D’Aurelio, founder of MTW GROUP partner marketing company of Devoto Design for the USA, this event was a great opportunity for us to show the excellence and innovation that marks Devoto Design’s approach towards design.

COME WITH US ON THIS INNOVATION AND DESIGN JOURNEY

This is just the beginning of a new adventure, so we suggest that all design-addicted follow us on this journey to the USA. Again, for us it is just the beginning of what we hope is going to be a new chapter in the American AEC sector, hoping to keep on inspiring and influencing the international design and architecture.

Stay tuned!
