Chef Sarah Cicolini’s restaurant has moved and been renewed by the Rome-based design studio Naessi; Devoto Design has delivered all the Interiors with a turnkey formula.

The space unfolds across two levels (ground floor and basement) and is defined by the use of free-standing furniture, allowing for a flexible and adaptable layout.

The design idea draws inspiration from the traditional Italian Trattoria, expressed through walnut boiserie running along the entire perimeter of the ground floor, as well as the use of travertine for worktops and details in the main furniture. A contemporary edge emerges through the use of fluorescent red-painted metal accents, featured in the tables, in the frames that define the large open kitchen, and in the free-standing furniture. This modern character becomes more prominent on the lower level, where fluorescent red takes centre stage in the bar counter and in the striking wine cellar, entirely crafted from glass and metal. Another defining element of the space is the use of fluted glass, sometimes combined with mirrored surfaces, creating dynamic plays of light across walls and interiors.

Special mention goes to the wine cellar: a structure within the structure, extending from floor to ceiling, made of fluorescent red-painted metal and separated from the dining area by a glass door, turning it into a true display feature.
