Terme di Milano – De Montel: the interiors by Devoto Design

The new resort Terme di Milano – De Montel opened the doors to a new idea of wellness and design. Devoto contributed to the realization of this exclusive place designed by THDP by overseeing the engineering and production of the bespoke interiors. These interiors are marked by elegance and a level of detail that reveals water as the main source of inspiration for the project.

Terme di Milano – De Montel: elegance and substance in the heart of the city

It is in the heart of Milan that this new wellness centre was born, in the former De Montel stables, an ancient and historical building. Terme di Milano, a project signed THDP for the client De Montel, seamlessly joins elegance, precious materials, and rarefied atmospheres that create a story inspired by the element of water.

Devoto’s contribution: elegance and flawless management

Devoto was in charge of delivering all the bespoke interiors that can be found in the reception, lounge, bar, and treatment rooms. Every place is marked by furnishings with clean lines made of wood, metal, glass, fabric, and natural stone, materials carefully chosen to give a sense of care and refinement.

In the reception guests are welcomed by two symmetrical counters in travertine, wood and metal. Then a long glazed corridor leads to the other areas like an experiencial path: treatment rooms, relaxation areas, bar, lounge and changing rooms. An atmosphere consecrated to wellness, enhanced by tailored details and precious finishes.

From concept to delivery: a race against time

We knew the timeline would be tight, but the project won us over from the very start. A few months separated the awarding from the final delivery, and quality could not be comprimised. A challenge we met successfully thanks to team work and our strong ability in planning, coordination, and collaboration with our suppliers and partners. We hit the deadlines without compromising quality.

The result is a consistent and refined place where every piece of furniture becomes a gem of craftsmanship: wood, natural stones, metals, glass and fabrics coexist in harmony, in a carefully curated balance of materials and aesthetics.

Devoto’s furnishings for Terme di Milano – De Montel

We delivered the custom furnishings that can be found in the following areas:

• the reception that welcomes guests with two monumental symmetrical counters in wood, travertine, and metal

• the bar and lounge composed of elegant but functional furnishings such as desks, tables, and screens

• Massage rooms and beauty areas with their closets, claddings, work stations and more

• Changing rooms and relaxation rooms, enriched by the presence of wood celing and tailored details.

These spaces overlook the inner courtyard and can be reached thanks to a corridor that turns into an experiencial path.

Tailored-made wellness for Terme di Milano

The trademark of the project is the tailored style of the furnishings: every piece was conceived and produced to perfectly fit in the space, enriching it. A clean and elegant design, rich of details and hidden technical solutions that make a difference.

Behind every piece of furniture there is a remarkable engineering, production and management work. Our technical team worked hard together with the art direction to turn the complex furnishings into consistent and construable elements. We worked non-stop with constant supervision.
