Civetteria by BURBACA is one of the food places inside the Luneur funfair that, thanks to a massive reconversion and integration project, is now part of the city life again. Inside the park, a small system of little refreshment points provides the food&beverage selection for the visitors. Among them, we have the two BURBAKIDS: Civetteria, a small café along the lake and Burgerbar, high-quality fast food with a big garden on the hill. The BURBACA brand decided to melt its New York City bistrot soul with the street food cart mood, dedicated to the young target of the park. The outcome is an easy-going café that suits everyone.
Devoto Design took care of the Interiors of the two places and GiòForma took care of the outdoor. The challenge was that of adapting the identity and style of the BURBACA franchising to the special context of Luneur park, guaranteeing the right continuity between the indoor and outdoor elements.
Civetteria is made of a service island where operators can work on all four sides. One of them opens on the outside for a coffee-to-go service, the other ones provide the typical counter service. On the other hand, Burgerbar is characterized by a long linear counter with an optical style. Its finishes root back into Burbaca’s typical industrial style, perfectly matching the frames and support structures of the surrounding jousts, by the way. Besides the radical choice of the dark metal, we have the juxtaposition of wood that converges the emotional focus towards the small cottages along the lake banks described in fairy tales: transverse fir wood slabs create a pattern that takes everything back to the naturalness of the outdoor. The fit-out is completed with crates, jars and cutlery that remind of the open-air kiosk and the picnic atmosphere, also conveyed through the floor pattern that, using the texture of the traditional tablecloth, creates a carpet that connects the inside to the outside.
